Looks like the weather is finally turning in Whistler.... Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

Not unlike Go Skateboarding day in the summer, we too now have our own Go Snowboarding day in the winter. My friend's over at PUSH.ca posted this about the day: (found directly at http://push.ca/blogs/snownews/archive/2008/10/29/world-snowboarding-day.aspx)

Adding some legitimacy to my previous report on Go Snowboarding Day, there appears to be an organized movement for World Snowboarding Day on Sunday, December 21st. I would say "world" is a little presumptuous, since there's a whole southern hemisphere who will be plunged into the painful grip of summer by then, making it tough for the whole world to participate (although i'm sure the Aussies will be in Whistler in full-force), but don't let that stop you from participating.
It would appear that this is the 3rd annual, so I missed the first two (I'd like to assume I was too busy snowboarding). Regardless, all the press material seems to show a lack of involvement from Canada. What the hell? Consider this a call to shred: let's get some events happening and show the world why we're the #1 shred destination.
