SLED DAY!! AND NEW VIDEOS!!!
Feb 1 09
Jan 31, 09 we went up to a new sled spot for me, Miller Ridge. It was incredible snow and we had some sick shred laps too. Too bad I smoked my shin/knee off of my running boards on my sled and snowboarding hurt like hell after. BUT, we got some sweet playland sled roopin' going and had a blast. Here's a little video of me playing around on my sled:
Unfortunately, Luke (one of my roomates) 's sled is still in the backcountry because it wont start - clutch is effed! So, after several attempts at towing it out, we peaced and they are going back today to try and get it.

FUN DAY FRIDAY....
Jan 30 09
Although we were rudely interrupted by a storm, this morning was super fun. Black park was going off; great snow and perfect jumps. THEN, out of no where the wind decided to hit you in the face while mid-spin on a large jump....not fun. Ahh well, hopefully it snows cuz of all this.
If you're bored, or even if you're not, check this flick out! It's an amazing look at a secret world of shopping cart racing in Vancouver. Need I say more, SHOPPING CART RACING....chhyea! Ex-snowboard film maker Murray Siple, takes an in depth look at the homeless ("binners") in Van that use shopping carts to gather empties and recycling, and proceed to RIP them down insane hills!
Without further adeu, I present you with "Carts of Darkness":

SEE YOU IN BLACK PARK...FOR A GAME OF 'S.H.R.E.D.'?
Jan 29 09
I'm heading up to Blackcomb's Black Park today to hopefully play a little game of S.H.R.E.D - similar to that of PIG of SKATE. But, who knows about the weather?? Have to wait and see. Editor's note: I waited and the weather is CRAP, so I'll be cleaning my room and heading to Squamish to grocery shop instead. Looks like we are finally getting a BIT of snow...but nothing much - maybe 30cm by sunday....weak! COME ON snow! Anyways, pretty much ALL of Whistler is at theSIA (snowsports industries america) tradeshow in Las Vegas this week, so things are a lil quiet around here. Hopefully going sledding on Saturday to build some kind of jump and tree obsticle to shoot - and therefore hopefully shoot it...
anyways, until ... well, later. PEACE.

CHECK THIS OUT: RICH ODAM ON TWS
Jan 28 09
My good friend Rich Odam got a recent gallery thrown up on TWS! Rich is an amazing photographer and luckily, I've had the pleasure of shooting with him a few times. Here's the gallery:
Oh and if it doesn't work, cuz TWS embedding code doesn't always...go here http://snowboarding.transworld.net/2009/01/28/the-rich-odam-photography-collection/:

FIRST DAY SLEDDIN' AND JUMP BUILD.
Jan 24 09
Andrew Burns, Jesmond Dubeau and I went sledding yesterday and actually built a jump...weird considering how crap the snow is. BUT, we managed to find some decent snow. Here's some progression photos of us building the jump on Jan 23, 2009:
Unfortunately, my sled was acting up - well, mechanically (engine) it was PERFECT, but my pull cord is all screwed up so I had to clutch start all day...not too much fun. I'm going to start a "Sled Cost Tab" for this season; here's where I'm at so far:
- $536.73 Summer storage, and per-season tune-up. New fuel injectors.
- $35 new Relay (my electrics were all down, so I had to replace the relay, thanks Mike)
- $76 Sled Oil, 2 bottles
- $20 Gasoline
- $35 Gasoline
- $194 (Pending) New Recoil Assembly....
-----
TOTAL so far (minus recoil): $702.73
