So, it's full-on winter FINALLY here in Whis.  160 CMs in the last 10 days. SAAWEEETTTTTT!  Been sledding a bit, and tryin to get more shots - I had some trouble the other day, but ended up getting  a few photos and one shot. Could have been worse I guess... OH! That's because it was worse! First of all, I thought I blew my sled up, but then I figured out that I forgot to tighten one of the sparkplugs I had replaced the night before and it had erupted out of my engine.  That was an easy fix, and everything was gravey. THEN, after getting worked on this jump a few times, and dealing with IDIOT slednecks (they weren't even real slednecks, just a bunch of douches who didn't understand that they shouldn't be sledding on our in run or landing!! !!), then we packed up and headed down to the trucks....
on the way down, about a kilometer from the trucks, my sleeve on my jacket caught my throttle on a turn and when I straightened out, it pinned my sled and I went flying.  I got up to find my sled had flown over a ditch and a hump and wedged itself in a pile of snow, narrowly missing some trees! Phew!  A little freaky, but it all ended up alright.

So after 9 hours of tracvelling back from Ontario, I'm back in Whistler and it's dumping! Too much snow to really do anything but ride the mountain - but that's all good.

Well, I'm in Ontario and competing in the Telus Triple Challenge once again (selfless promo, but I wont the big air 2 years ago).  So far, I've competed in the Pro slopsestyle, where we got about 6 inches of snow during the contest.  It was a shit-show to say the least.  BUT, I rode about as well as I could under the circumstances...thought I was gong to podium but I ended up in 5th.  Today, I practiced a bit in the park and did some speed runs for the Big Air.  Tomorrow is the day; BIG AIR ----- 74 foot jump from lip to knuckle..which means we have to go at least 85 feet to land in the sweet spot. Hopefully, next time I write on here, I'll be richer and have a Big Air title to my name.

I'm sitting in YVR airport waiting for my flight to Toronto for some contests.  Here's a quick update on the last little bit:
- been shooting TONS and getting lots of shots, so I'm stoked!
- been sledding TONS and my sled is running great, so I'm stoked!
- we built a big jump up Brandywine the other day and spent 3 days trying to hit it....we finally did, but then the wind picked up and I got tossed in the air....frontside 270 to landing on my back on a ROCK! got a nice little bump and some aches, but I'm all good.
